Senior Developer – Fixed Income Trading:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Developer – Fixed Income Trading for a 6-month role. This position is mostly Remote.

Job Description:

Our client is committed to developing a best-in-class platform for its Fixed Income trading desk, covering a wide range of bonds to meet global client needs. The project involves building an industry-leading fixed income trading platform using modern software development principles to ensure adaptability, growth, and integration with external systems and proprietary tools.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and innovative ideas for development design and integration

• Adjust, redesign, and adapt design and functionality based on feedback

• Build effective partnerships with team members and stakeholders

• Create high-quality documentation artifacts as per banks standards

• Maintain current trading systems and provide system enhancements and support

• Unit-test software deliverables and participate in test suite planning and execution

• Collaborate to enhance the banks IT capabilities in real-time messaging and application integration

Mandatory Skills:

• 7+ years of experience developing complex software solutions

• Agile practitioner with the ability to rapidly adapt

• Experience with high-performance, real-time streaming systems

• Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, and Oracle database

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Linux, Shell scripting, Windows server

• FIX protocol experience

• Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Capital Markets - FI Income, Credit trading, rates

• Experience with large Capital Markets trading platforms

• AWS software development experience

Assignment Length:

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension and conversion to a full-time employee.

Assignment Location:

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position is currently 100% remote, but candidates must be able to attend occasional events and meetings onsite.
