About This Opportunity : Software Engineer II

A software engineer II role for a full-stack developer typically involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems that utilize the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack as a primary or significant technology stack. The person will be responsible for full-stack development, DB Management, testing and debugging, code review ,performance optimization, documentation and collaboration.


Summary:

· Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack.

· Integrate, build and deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and reliable solutions.

· Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for both front-end and back-end components.

· Utilize AWS services for storage, compute, and other infrastructure requirements.

· Work with databases, including MongoDB on AWS, to store and retrieve data.

· Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of applications on AWS.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the MERN stack and AWS infrastructure.

· Implement best practices for AWS architecture and development.

· Working directly with architects and developers to create supportable designs and debug problems.

· Making decisions on problem resolutions in critical down time situations when escalation is impractical.

· Creating and delivering knowledge sharing presentations and documentation to developers and product teams (Document system diagrams, run books, and procedures, etc.).

· Good knowledge on various monitoring tools both logging and application monitoring.

· Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends


Responsibilities:

· Proven experience as a MERN stack developer with a focus on AWS integration.

· Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, React.js (both class and functional component) Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

· Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Kinesis , S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.

· Strong knowledge on version controlling tool like Git, module bundler like webpack, babel as a tool chain for backward browser compatibility.

· Knowledge of server less architecture and microservices on AWS.

· Experience with AWS deployment and management tools (e.g., AWS CLI, Cloud Formation).

· Familiarity with build tools like Jenkins, with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines on AWS.

· Ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency on AWS.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Good to have experience with other AWS services like DynamoDB, RDS, ECS, Elastic Search etc.

· Good to have experience on Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC.


Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

· Minimum of 6 years of experience in Full Stack (especially MERN).

· Minimum of 6 years of experience in troubleshooting and reading complex code using debuggers

· Minimum of 6 years of experience in Senior Software Engineer or similar roles.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience with AWS tools and methodologies.

· 3+ years of experience with Mongo, MySQL and NoSQL databases.
