Our client is a leading name in the global energy industry and is the world's largest producer of hydrocarbons. They are currently seeking Technical Architect (Communications) from Australia and New Zealand to join their team in Saudi Arabia.
The technical Architect’s primary role is to develop strategic Digital & IT roadmaps, define technology architecture required to deliver and enable core business capabilities; optimizing short- and long-term architecture plans, identifying new IT capabilities that leverage the installed base technologies and solutions, and developing plans and programs to introduce new IT services ensuring alignment with business demands and company digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Work with EA community to analyse enterprise business context, as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture viewpoints to derive the future-state Communications architecture.
Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt and recommends solutions for improvement.
Guide technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation.
Help the enterprise architect define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value.
Lead technology change to deliver business outcomes while also virtually leveraging subject matter experts from any other needed technical area.
Consult on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the enterprise Communications architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the Comms architecture to accommodate immediate or future project needs.
Create and deliver working, production-ready IT services that can be easily leveraged by agile teams.
Skills Required
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or Mathematics or equivalent from a recognized and approved program.
Minimum 10 years industrial work experience in complex Digital & IT environment with more deep understanding on communications related technologies such as LAN/WAN Corporate Network, Terrestrial Fiber Optical Network Communications, Wireless Network), Private Mobile Radio, Networks, Private and leased terrestrial public circuits & networks & communications.
Experienced in Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools, related graphical models, and frameworks.
At least 6 years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant for the communications field.
Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Strong consulting skills like targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development.
Understanding of financial models and budgeting and ability to estimate the financial impact of technology alternatives.
