About The Role
Nexperia aspires to become a $10b turnover business by 2030. This ambition can be achieved through our next-generation technologies, ongoing improvement in manufacturing sustainability, state-of-the-art facilities, and most importantly, investing in our people. We are now looking for a Principal GaN Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team.
What Our Principal GaN Reliability Engineers Do
Working within the wider GaN team and reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and durability of our GaN products by conducting testing, analysing failures, optimising designs and processes, and providing valuable insights to enhance the overall performance of our technology.
- Develop and manage the reliability test plan for E-mode GaN products and calculate extrapolated lifetime for a given mission profile
- Monitor the internal reliability test to fail tests in our labs (HVOS, TC, HTOL, etc) and manage reliability tests with external partners
- Analyse reliability test results data to extract acceleration parameters
- Identify and address reliability gaps and drive reliability improvements activities
- Collaborate with the R&D team and laboratories to develop/improve tests and analysis methods of E-mode GaN products
- Monitor failure analysis investigation to understand the main wear-out failure mechanisms
Essential
What our Principal GaN Reliability Engineers need
- At least a master’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Electronic Engineering or a similar discipline
- Strong knowledge of GaN semiconductor physics
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical and thermal failure modes in semiconductor products, and failure analysis techniques
- Knowledge of international quality standards such as JEDEC, and AEC-Q101, reliability test to fail methods, and reliability test equipment
- Strong data analysis skills (JMP, MATLAB, Minitab, etc.) with clear written and verbal communication skills
Beneficial

- Industrial experience working within GaN technology
- Knowledge of wafer fab processes and assembly
