About This Opportunity :QA (Software Engineer II)
Summary:
· Develop, implement, and execute end-to-end testing strategies for software applications in the retail domain (preferably)
· Conduct comprehensive manual testing for UI components, ensuring a seamless user experience in applications.
· Create and maintain automated test scripts for both RESTful APIs and UI components, utilizing tools such as Selenium, BDD, and API testing frameworks.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand domain requirements, API specifications, and UI functionality.
· Perform manual testing when necessary to validate software functionality across different layers in the applications.
· Work closely with development teams to identify, document, and prioritize defects, ensuring timely resolution.
· Participate in test case reviews, requirement analysis, and contribute to test planning activities specific to the applications.
· Set up and manage testing environments on AWS to simulate real-world scenarios and configurations in the retail context.
· Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders in the retail domain.
· Collaborate with QA and development teams to enhance testing processes, particularly in the context of AWS services, REST APIs, and UI components within the domain.
· Strong in analyzing logs to debug and identify the root cause of critical and high issues.
Responsibilities:
· Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on end-to-end testing in the retail (preferably) domain.
· Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
· Proficiency in creating and maintaining automated test scripts for UI and REST APIs using relevant testing frameworks and tools.
· Fair knowledge of AWS services (such as Cloud Watch, Lambda etc.) and cloud architecture, with an understanding of how it applies to applications.
· Experience with testing tools (such as Postman, SOAP UI etc.) and techniques for web and mobile applications
· Experience on automation framework with BDD/TD Approach using Selenium, Java, Cucumber etc.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Excellent communication skills to convey testing results and collaborate effectively with domain experts.
· Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· Minimum of 6 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing
· Minimum of 6 years of experience in troubleshooting and reading complex code using debuggers
· Minimum of 6 years of experience in Senior QA or similar roles.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS tools and methodologies.
· 3+ years of experience with Mongo, MySQL and NoSQL databases.
Desired Qualifications
· Good to have an SDET role or similar.
· Highly responsible, self-disciplined, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision.
· Passion to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly on your own.
· Extensive experience working on multiple projects at a time in a fast paced, results oriented environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Experience in Cloud Computing
· Proven experience on scaling cloud-based application with focus on automation and monitoring
