With its adaptation to modernization, a Digital Innovation LAB has been established within the company. The role of this department is to improve maritime services through innovative digital technology. They are working towards the development of a training software for marine engineers and seafarers with the use of a Mixed Reality Platform and Microsoft HoloLens. It is also developing autonomous navigation technology and other products utilizing IoT and Artificial Intelligence.
Job Description
- Design and develop their products using programming languages, frameworks and libraries such as Javascript, Typescript, C#, C, C++, Rust and Nodejs.
- Design and develop embedded software using an embedded OS such as Linux OS or RTOS.
- In cooperation with hardware engineers, design and develop modules that meet hardware performance and strict process control.
- Design and develop relational and NoSQL database systems on Edge or cloud using Postgres or other equivalent systems and structures.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs.
- Get trainings to improve software skills
Desired Experiences/Skills
- Design and develop their products using C/C++.
- Design and develop embedded software that operates on RTOS for real-time control.
- Debug and resolve software issues.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design software that meets hardware requirements and real-time process control needs.
- Develop device drivers.
- Create and update software documentation.
- Contribute to team members' skill development through code reviews.
- Provide detailed software knowledge, customization methods, and maintenance procedures to the operations and maintenance team.
Preferred Experiences/Skills
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and implementing services utilizing artificial intelligence, particularly in computer vision and natural language processing.
- Experience in presenting at conferences, journals, etc., and participating in technical competitions such as Kaggle, etc.
- Experience in developing versioned software in C/C++.
- Ability to stay updated on the latest open-source software and cloud services, such as AWS and GCP, and to select and implement appropriate technologies for their own services.
