Location: Aachen / remote in Germany / onsite one week a month

Our client is an award-winning semiconductor start-up which started as a spin-off from the Chair of High-Frequency Electronics at RWTH Aachen. Their main product is a break-through and patented wide bandwidth „transceiver“ microchip for application in e.g. ultrafast 5G-A and 6G wireless infrastructure equipment and devices.

You will become part of a highly experienced team of circuit designers and where you will work on data converters and other analog/mixed-signal circuits. You will be involved in all aspects of the data-converter chipsets and their characterization including post-silicon validation. This requires and gives you the opportunity to understand the overall data converter systems that are implemented for wireless communication systems. You will gain detailed knowledge on a broad range of different IPs to define testplans, define test programs, support test development of IP characterization, and support chip bring-up activities.

We are looking for somebody, with the following experience:

• Solid understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, PLLs, DLLs, filters, active

mixers, driver stages, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, OpAmps, comparators and switched-cap

circuits.

• Extensive hands-on experience with EDA design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, preferably with a

history of successful Tapeouts.

• Extensive experience in the laboratory measurement, test development, debugging, measurement

automation, analog IP characterization and ADC/DAC lab characterization.

• Familiar with laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, real-time scope, arbitrary waveform

generators, signal generator, etc.

• Good programming skills, Matlab, and Python knowledge.

Education Requirements:

• Ph.D/Master Degree in Electric Engineering with relevant experience

What we offer:

• An international team with an open and friendly culture, flat hierarchies and fast decision

making.
