ElectroNet Group has established the premier power system analysis (PSA) team within NZ - we need additional Senior & Principal Engineers
Phillip Riley is pleased to have been retained by ElectroNet Group as we search for Engineers to join this leading power systems consultancy in New Zealand.
About the company
Previously known as Mitton ElectroNet, ElectroNet Group is a New Zealand-owned electrical engineering design consultancy, delivers critical electricity infrastructure designs to clients in the energy, agricultural, healthcare, and industrial sectors. They employ some 80 plus Engineers across their Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland offices.
About the opportunity
ElectroNet Consulting has established the premier power system analysis (PSA) team within NZ, a reputation they have built up over the past decade with a consistent striving for excellence and delivery of key project outcomes for our clients.
Their portfolio of project work is challenging and diverse. They have clients throughout New Zealand and Australia. Most of the workload of the team is involved with developing and assessing generator connection applications throughout Australia and New Zealand. This has included performance assessments and code compliance for large wind and solar farms, gas turbine peakers, geothermal plants and increasingly battery energy storage systems.
Although much of the work is centred around generator compliance and connection activity, opportunities also arise for more strategic-based work. ElectroNet Group has assisted local utilities such as Transpower with their forward network planning and helped them to develop tools and processes that have assisted the industry as a whole.
This young team is hungry for innovation and efficiency. They make heavy use of scripting and automation tools within their daily workflows and have experts in Python, FORTRAN, C#, DPL and Julia languages.
This work uses class-leading PSA tools and applications including PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory and ElectroNet Consulting has multiple licenses of each of these tools.
What we need from you
As a senior member of the team, you would be expected to have high proficiency in the aforementioned tools and be able to take a leading and mentoring technical role within the team.
