Job Description
This is a full-time, fully remote Network Administrator position. We are primarily seeking candidates located in Honduras who are comfortable working in English.
The Network Administrator will support, maintain, and monitor the organization’s network environment and core Microsoft cloud services. The ideal candidate has solid network fundamentals and some hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Microsoft 365 (M365) and is eager to continue learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and security (VPN, Wi‑Fi, routing, switching, basic firewall rules).
- Assist with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration, including user and group management, password resets, and basic access/security settings.
- Support Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, and basic application deployment.
- Help manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), including user provisioning, license assignment, and first-level troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues (VPN access, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, basic VLANs) and escalate complex incidents when needed.
- Provide remote technical support to end-users for network access and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Follow security, backup, and compliance best practices under the guidance of senior IT staff.
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on upgrades, improvements, and new implementations.
Qualifications
- Experience in Network Administration, including basic configuration and support of switches, routers, wireless, and VPN.
- Some practical knowledge of:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – user/group administration and sign-in troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Intune – device onboarding, simple policies, and app assignments.
- Microsoft 365 – managing user accounts and licenses; supporting Outlook, Teams, and related apps.
- Ability to troubleshoot common network and connectivity issues (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
- Understanding of basic information security principles, including secure access and endpoint protection.
- Experience providing remote technical support and documenting solutions.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required. Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate clearly in a fully remote environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and an appropriate remote work setup.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft (M365/Entra/Intune), or Cisco CCNA.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing/ITSM systems.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
