Job Description
About Said Differently
Said Differently is a remote-first company built around clarity, collaboration, and trust. We keep teams lean, talent high, and egos low. You’ll work with thoughtful people who value craft, communication, and doing work the right way. We cast teams intentionally, support flexibility, and create space for people to do work they’re proud of, without the layers or bloat that get in the way. If you want meaningful work alongside good humans, this is the place.
About the Role
As a Group Creative Director at Said Differently, you’re a builder of brands, a steward of taste, and a leader who elevates everyone around you. You guide the creative vision across multiple accounts, turn insights into platforms, and help clients see what’s possible. You thrive in a modern, remote model where the people in the room are the ones doing the work, and you love rolling up your sleeves to make the work stronger.
Areas of Ownership
- Creative Direction: Set and maintain the overarching creative vision for assigned clients, ensuring ideas, platforms, and executions meet strategic and quality expectations.
- Concept and Craft Development: Guide the development of brand platforms, storytelling, and integrated creative work, providing hands-on refinement at key stages.
- Team Structure and Workflow: Shape the structure of project teams, define creative workflows, and establish quality checkpoints that support consistent and efficient delivery.
- Strategic Translation: Convert client goals, audience insights, and strategic inputs into clear creative approaches that guide teams and shape deliverables.
- Client Partnership: Lead senior-level creative conversations, present work, integrate feedback, and support long-term client health through reliable creative guidance.
Partners to Collaborate With and Support
- Chief Creative Officer: Align on creative standards, elevate team performance, and ensure work across accounts reflects the agency’s creative expectations.

- Senior Clients: Serve as a steady creative partner, offering clear rationale, structured feedback loops, and consistent communication throughout engagements.
Team Oversight
This role leads interdisciplinary creative teams assembled on a project basis. The GCD provides day-to-day direction, structured feedback, and clear decision-making support to writers, designers, art directors, strategists, technologists, and makers. Core Competencies
- Structured Creative Guidance: Bring clarity and direction to concept development and help teams navigate ambiguity.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate effectively with Strategy, Account, and Project Management to align on goals and execution plans.
- Hands-On and High-Level Balance: Know when to step into the work directly and when to steer from a higher level to maintain quality across workstreams.
- Remote Team Leadership: Communicate clearly, support cohesion, and operate effectively within a distributed, remote-first environment.
- Craft and Discipline: Maintain high standards of creative thinking, execution, and professionalism.
