We’re opening a position for a Senior DevOps Engineer for candidates based in Belarus, with full relocation support to Riga, Latvia. You’ll lead infrastructure automation, platform reliability, and CI/CD excellence for mission-critical applications running in a hybrid multi-cloud environment.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and operate new services.
- Plan and execute an architecture that deploys our SaaS as instances across multiple clouds and platform versions.
- Design, implement, and maintain private/hybrid cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform or similar).
- Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build, etc.).
- Automate deployments across dev, staging, QA, and production environments.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting (e.g., New Relic) and wire alerting flows.
- Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and resolve complex technical issues.
- Design and implement troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
- Write automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go) to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
- Build internal tools that minimize errors and improve customer experience.
- Automate provisioning and configuration management; maintain deployment automation across environments.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support when needed.
- Partner with development teams to understand application architecture and operational requirements.
- Document solutions and train operational teams on supportability and best practices.
- Contribute to project planning and strategic technology decisions.
- Implement AI automations within CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows.
- Implement SOC 2 controls and compliance automation.
- Optimize cloud spend and promote cost-efficient architectures and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience with a Bachelor’s degree
- (or 2+ years with Master’s/MBA, or PhD with relevant experience).
- Strong experience with CI/CD: GCP Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Terraform (or similar).
- Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
- Solid understanding of networking: load balancing, HA, VPC, NAT, Cloud Armor or equivalents.
- Hands-on IaC experience (Terraform or similar).
- Experience with private and hybrid cloud architectures and cloud cost optimization.
Nice to Have
- Golang (Go) proficiency.
- Relevant Google Cloud certifications (Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect, etc.).
Relevant Experience
- Deploying and managing multi-cloud SaaS instances and versioning strategies.
- Infrastructure provisioning and configuration management automation.
- Monitoring, alerting, and incident response using New Relic or similar tools.
- Troubleshooting distributed systems in production.
- Applying security best practices, SOC 2 controls, and compliance automation.
- Operating mission-critical, high-uptime environments.
- Experience with ERP domain is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure, especially during incidents.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
