Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure and cloud operations team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring efficient deployment, scalability, and reliability of applications running on Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Implement and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop and enforce IaC using Terraform / CloudFormation / AWS CDK.
- Assist development teams in containerization best practices and deployment strategies.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost optimization across cloud environments.
- Implement logging, alerting, and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Ensure security best practices across cloud services, networking, IAM, and deployment pipelines.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across production and staging environments.
- Participate in on-call rotation (if required) and contribute to incident response and root cause analysis.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3–8 years of DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or SRE experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Proficient in Docker, containerization workflows, and Kubernetes operations.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, routing, security groups).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
- Exposure to GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, FluxCD).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect.
