Stat AI is a fast growing viral sports analytics app built for sports bettors and fans who want real time insights, advanced models, and data driven picks. The app breaks down games using AI, proprietary data, and custom models that users can understand instantly. Our content goes viral regularly and our user base is scaling fast. We move quickly, we test constantly, and we are building a sports analytics platform that feels alive.
About the role:
This is a full time, in person role. You will live and work inside our Truckee hacker house for a minimum of six months. There is space to sleep, work, and build directly with the founders and engineering team. We also take work trips around the world to stay sharp and keep momentum high. After the hacker house period, the job transitions into hybrid with continued in person collaboration. This position requires full commitment. No part time roles for any other companies.
About you:
You are early in your engineering career and hungry to learn. Maybe you are just out of college. Maybe you are considering dropping out because you want to build something real. You are comfortable with React Native, willing to learn Convex quickly, and excited to work directly under a Lead Engineer who ships fast. You must be ready to work hard, iterate nonstop, and build features that thousands of sports bettors rely on in real time.
What the role involves:
• Build and ship mobile features in React Native
• Work within our Convex backend to handle logic, data, and integrations
• Implement UI designs, fix bugs, and improve app performance
• Collaborate daily with the Lead Mobile Engineer on architecture and engineering standards
• Write clean, maintainable code and continue developing strong engineering habits
• Work closely with product and design to move fast and iterate
• Assist with testing new prediction tools, analytics features, and real time updates
• Help optimize performance during heavy game traffic and live sports moments
What we are looking for:
• One to two years of mobile engineering experience or strong personal projects
• Solid understanding of React Native
• Willingness to learn and work with Convex
• Experience building and shipping real projects
• Curiosity for sports, analytics, or betting data
• Ability to move fast and stay calm under pressure during high traffic events
• Must be willing to live in Truckee for six months and travel with the team
• Must be fully committed to Stat AI with no part time work elsewhere
• Ideally someone just out of college or ready to drop out to build something meaningful
Compensation:
We offer a base salary of seventy thousand per year plus equity options in Stat AI. We cover relocation costs, provide full access to the hacker house, offer a daily Uber Eats credit, and include travel for team work trips. You will be working inside a viral sports analytics startup with massive upside and learning directly under a Lead Engineer and the founding team.
