Contract role: Security Analyst

Location: 100% Remote but the company is London based and your welcome to visit the office and work

Day Rate: £600–£650 per day

Contract Duration: 6 months

Position Overview

We are recruiting a highly skilled Security Analyst to monitor and protect IT infrastructures using advanced security monitoring tools, manage incidents, vulnerabilities, and support compliance efforts. You will play a critical role in defending client environments against evolving cyber threats in real time. This senior security role requires deep technical knowledge, strong incident response capabilities, and the ability to make high-stakes security decisions under pressure. You will contribute to the development and enhancement of security policies and procedures across multiple client organizations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor security events through Microsoft Sentinel SIEM platform and respond to alerts in real time with appropriate escalation
• Conduct vulnerability scans with Qualys and manage remediation processes with development and infrastructure teams
• Investigate security breaches and suspicious activity logs to determine scope, impact, and root causes
• Manage endpoint defence with CrowdStrike Falcon across client environments and respond to endpoint security alerts
• Work on security policy enforcement and firewall configurations to implement defence-in-depth security strategies
• Stay current on cyber threat intelligence and emerging attack patterns relevant to client industries
• Produce detailed reports during incident response or audits aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks and requirements
• Collaborate across teams for security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns
• Perform forensic analysis of security incidents and compile evidence for investigation and legal proceedings
• Support vulnerability management and coordinate patch deployment across client infrastructure

Required Skill Set:

• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity, information security operations, or incident response roles
• Proficient with Microsoft Sentinel, Qualys, and CrowdStrike Falcon security platforms
• Strong knowledge of SIEM architecture, rules writing, and vulnerability management processes
• Expert-level proficiency in KQL (Kusto Query Language) for advanced log analysis and threat hunting
• Excellent communication and analytical skills for incident reporting and executive briefings
• Understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management principles
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during security incidents
