Responsibilities
- Develop new games with opportunities for direct creative input
- Port existing titles to new hardware platforms
- Implement art, sound, and gameplay mechanics
- Build out math logic with our mathematicians
- Partner with QA to diagnose and resolve issues
- Prepare documentation for certification labs
- Lead innovation in gameplay and feature development
- Contribute to architecture, technical designs, and postmortems
- Analyze code and data to identify improvement opportunities
- Mentor junior engineers
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in Gameplay Engineering (or similar), with shipped titles
- Proficiency in Java or object-oriented C/C++
- Strong understanding of probabilities and statistics
- Advanced debugging and optimization skills
- Solid understanding of game design principles
- Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
- Able to adapt within a fluid, creative, iterative environment
- Reliable, curious, and collaborative
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- True passion for making games
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Specialties such as low-level networking, HLSL, SSE assembly, etc.
- Strong linear algebra and 3D vector math knowledge
- Experience with Perforce, 3D Studio Max, or OpenGL
- Interest or expertise in AI, UI, animation, or gameplay systems
