The Universities of Wisconsin-Systems Administration seeks a contractor to help augment our Systems and Engineering team that oversees our IT infrastructure and server systems. The current team members are involved in a project to migrate servers, consolidating systems into new data centers. This position will work with the team, stakeholders, and clients migrating Windows and Linux machines and perform day-to-day systems administration work. The duties of the position include:

• Proficiency in using VMware to manage Windows and Linux Servers.
• Building, configuring, and managing Windows and Linux servers in a complex environment with over 300 servers.
• Implementing and maintaining security and disaster recovery measures on Windows and
  
  

Linux servers to safeguard data and applications.

• Answering support tickets, assisting users with issues related to Windows servers and
  
  

Applications.

• Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders.
  
  

Additional Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience monitoring system performance and uptime.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and/or M365 a plus.
• Knowledge of IAM systems and two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred.
• Experience working with MS SQL servers and clusters.
