About the Role

9/11 Day is seeking a seasoned and visionary fundraising and development leader to join our growing Partnerships team. This full-time, remote position requires a minimum of seven years of demonstrated success in corporate sponsorships, donor development, or foundation partnerships, with a proven track record of cultivating and stewarding national-level relationships that drive mission impact. As Senior Manager / Associate Director, Partnerships, you will serve as a strategic leader in expanding and deepening 9/11 Day’s corporate and philanthropic partnerships. You will oversee high-value sponsor relationships, design and execute growth strategies, and play a pivotal role in sustaining and scaling our programs nationwide. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings creativity, strategic vision, and exceptional relationship management skills to every interaction.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Relationship Management: Lead stewardship of national corporate sponsors and foundation partners, ensuring long-term alignment and impact.
• Business Development & Growth: Design and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and secure new high-value sponsors and donors.
• Leadership in Presentations: Represent 9/11 Day in high-level meetings, pitches, and presentations with senior executives and decision-makers.
• Sponsorship Activation: Oversee fulfillment of sponsor benefits, ensuring excellence in execution and measurable outcomes.
• Materials & Communications: Develop compelling proposals, reports, and tailored communications that inspire investment and demonstrate impact.
• Event & Program Leadership: Guide sponsor engagement in volunteer events and national programs, ensuring seamless integration and visibility.
• Grants & Reporting: Lead grant writing and reporting processes, articulating sponsor ROI and program outcomes.
• Data & Systems Oversight: Ensure accurate tracking of pledges, donations, and sponsor engagement in CRM systems to produce actionable insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with program, marketing, and events teams to maximize sponsor integration and visibility.
• Evaluation & Innovation: Analyze sponsor and volunteer feedback to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.
• Organizational Leadership: Contribute to broader development initiatives and serve as a thought partner in shaping organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or development, with national-level experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in securing and managing six- and seven-figure sponsorships or grants.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, follow-through, and decision-making abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and collaboration tools such as Slack and Google Workspace.
• Strong interpersonal skills that embody the mission and values of 9/11 Day.

Compensation

Salary range: $85,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.
