We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join our small development team working on-site in Niseko ski resort, Hokkaido Japan.
The software development team is part of a large hotel and resort services management company. Come and enjoy Japan, the snow, and a diverse and international community in Niseko Hokkaido working in an English language team.
You will work and learn about building multi-tenant web applications that can scale to handle a large number of visitors from all over the world.
We provide working visa support as well as accommodation support in the resort.
Responsibilities
- Use the latest technologies to build responsive web applications.
- Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Support team members through code review.
- Troubleshooting applications.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Front-End and Back-end Web Development, with strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with web application development with React.
- Experience in test tools and agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have (these are optional but very welcome on our team)
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with C# or .Net Framework
- Experience with AI-assisted development (e.g., Github Copilot)
- Experience with Data Engineering (e.g., Data Lake/ Data Warehouse)
- Experience working in the hospitality or tourism industry and knowledge of Japanese language and culture are also beneficial.
Employment Period: Ongoing full time year round
Annual Salary: ¥4,000,000 to ¥5,000,000
(The above remuneration will be divided by 14 and paid monthly with two annual bonuses.)
Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan
Working Hours: average 40 hours per week (5 x 8 hour days)
