JK Giant Innovation is dedicated to empowering professionals and connecting them with clients across Africa through a robust digital ecosystem. Our platform comprises GIANT ID, a secure digital identity and business management tool, and GIANTworks, a marketplace for on-demand professional services. Volunteer Position Available
Duration - 4months
- Frontend Developer - 2 positions
- Backend Developer - 1 position
- Application Tester - 1 position
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with our product and design teams to build and improve our platform
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to the development of new features
- Test applications thoroughly to ensure high quality, performance, and functionality
- Participate in problem-solving and technical brainstorming sessions
Requirements
- Strong understanding of relevant technologies: React.js, React Native, Laravel, Git, Figma, APIs, MySQL, Google Workspace, Teams, etc.
- Ready to commit 14-18 hours per week with weekly task/project reviews
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Passion for building products that make a difference
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working on real-world projects is a strong plus
- Familiarity with developing applications for the African digital services market is a plus
