Job Description

We’re looking for a Lead Service Specialist to join our Digital Services Implementation team and connect our customers with our technologies and products. Our team is involved in GE Digital’s ADMS (Advanced Distributions Management System) related projects, tackling problems ranging from analysing data to providing solutions for varied customer business requirements. Our product is deployed in distribution companies worldwide and is leading in the growing market of Energy Utilities. Our software solutions deliver reliability, productivity, innovation, and efficiency through a modular architecture, adaptive algorithms, predictive analytics, and a brilliant user experience.

You will provide expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations and also lead minor teams based on the team structure.

Responsibilities
  • Software System testing in energy market administration.
  • Creating Test Cases, validation Test Plans, Acceptance Test Plans and Testing Strategy;
  • Create and manage the tesing documentation in Jira, Confluence and Qtest;
  • Report and track the issues in Jira
  • Preparing testing environments and instruments
  • Preparing software components, including final product ( build configuration, smoke tests and base analysis)
  • You will perform functional and non-functional testing.
  • You will create/execute the test plan and present the test results.
  • You will execute regression tests and initiate corrective action if needed.
  • You will collaborate with developers and business analysts as needed to resolved problems and identify root cause of product defects;
  • Analyzing business logic, software requirements, user stories and use cases, analyzing requirements, implementing tests, executing and analyzing results, implementation & maintenance of the testing strategy according to business requirements and software implementation strategy.
  • You will provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.

  • Modeling of power systems phenomena and processes (power load flow in looped and radial networks, calculation of short-circuit currents in looped and radial networks, state estimator, contingents analysis, optimization of operating regimes of power systems, voltage control, frequency control, power reserve management, optimal load distribution between power units, load forecasting, network equivalents, stability analysis, transient regimes, power equipment operation mathematical models, automation and protection systems in power plants and power networks, models for the energy market ).
  • Tests of complex power systems, power systems studies, identification of power plant equipment operating parameters, calculation of optimal operating parameters of power plants and power stations equipment, protection systems in power systems.
  • Business travel availability

Mandatory:

  • Senior experience using different types of testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity);
  • Experience in functional, non-functional testing.
  • Experience with bug tracking and reporting systems (Jira);
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide solutions.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, capable to openly present her/his own ideas.
  • Knowledge of windows/Linux/Unix systems
  • Basic experience in working with database as SQL, PL/SQL
  • Experience with different work methodologies: Agile, Waterfall
  • Experience testing UI/WEB UI
  • Open to work in a hybrid setting (Bucharest)
  • Fluent in English, in verbal and written communication.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in automatic testing (Selenium, HP Quick Test Professional, or other applications)
  • Java technology background, ability/familiarity to code at least in Core Java
  • Ability to write scripts (one of bash/ksh, python or groovy)
  • Experience using CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)
  • Experience in the Electrical domain

You will work in one of the best locations in town: Aviatorilor 8 office building, in Victoriei Square (in the middle of Central Business District).
