Founding Engineer (Python, Audio Streaming, Real-time Systems) - European Defence Tech Startup

Lysk is a European defence startup. Our mission is to create modern software tailored for hostile environments. Backed by Europe’s leading defence VC, and high-profile angel investors, we’re assembling a world-class team at the intersection of modern software and defence. We do not work on weapons systems or hardware products.

Our founding team includes two early Cloudflare employees and a former GIGN commander (French special forces). We're actively looking for a founding engineers to join us as our first hire and help us reach product-market fit.

You’ll work closely with the founders to evolve our early stack and help service our first customers (French and German military units, as well as emergency services).

Initially, your focus will be on bespoke audio streaming tech and real-time voice systems, primarily in Python.

Pragmatic, product-minded, strong execution skills, and a desire to build from zero. You might be especially excited about this if you:

• Compensation will depend on experience; expected range €60–90K + equity
