Job Description- Software Engineer (Remote)
North Point Technology is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fully remote role supporting commercial and enterprise clients across the United States. You will help design, build, and scale modern software systems while working with a high-performance, fast-moving team.
At North Point, engineers own their work end-to-end- from technical design to production deployment- and contribute directly to the quality, reliability, and speed of our platforms. We are looking for someone who loves solving complex problems, writing clean code, and working in a collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems across frontend, backend, or full-stack components
- Lead or contribute to complex technical projects from concept to production
- Write clean, testable, efficient code using modern frameworks and languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering leadership
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and long-term technical planning
- Improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across internal platforms and customer-facing applications
- Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of engineering excellence
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following:
- JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML/CSS
- C++, C#, .NET Core
- Node.js, Go, Python, or similar backend languages
- Experience building or maintaining cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with Agile development (Scrum or Kanban)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, monitoring
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience building distributed or highly scalable backend systems
- Experience owning features or systems end-to-end in production
- Background working in fast-paced, startup-style environments
- Experience mentoring other engineers
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, or serverless technologies
- Experience in fintech, insurance, SaaS, or enterprise software
