About The Role

ITHR Tech is hiring a hands-on SAP ABAP Subject Matter Expert with deep, practical expertise across SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere, and strong functional integration experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANAspecifically for the retail industry. You'll lead solution design and development end-to-end: ABAP on HANA engineering, data models and services (CDS, OData, RAP), data pipelines into Datasphere, and planning/analytics delivery in SAC for retail use cases (pricing/promotions, assortments, replenishment, markdowns, inventory, POS, loyalty).

What you will do

ABAP on HANA engineering (SME level)

Design and develop robust ABAP solutions leveraging CDS views (V2/V4 annotations), AMDP, Table Functions, SQL Script, ABAP OO, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

Expose data/services via OData (V2/V4) for Fiori/UI5 apps and analytics consumption (SAC live/import, Datasphere).

Optimize code for HANA: code pushdown, use of ALV with IDA, performance tracing (SAT/SE30, SQLM), ATC/SCI compliance, and ABAP Unit tests.

S/4HANA & ECC integration (Retail)

Build and refactor custom code against S/4 data structures (ACDOCA, MATDOC) and classic ECC tables (MARA/MARC/MARD, VBAK/VBAP, VBRK/VBRP).

Integrate with retail components (IS-Retail, CAR optional), covering Article/Site Master, listings/assortments, POS (POSDTA), ATP/stock availability, promotions/markdowns, replenishment and inventory processes.

Orchestrate interfaces using IDoc/BAPI/RFC, and middleware patterns with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or PI/PO where applicable.

SAP Datasphere (data modeling & pipelines)

Design data architecture using Spaces, Connections, Remote Tables, Replication Flows, Data Flows/Transformations, Graph, Data Builder, and Business Builder.

Build semantic/analytic models aligned to retail KPIs (sell-through, GM%, stock cover, OTB, promo uplift), with proper data lineage and governance (DAC/privileges).

SAP Analytics Cloud (planning & analytics)

Deliver enterprise analytics and driver-based planning for retail (sales, margin, inventory, OPEX/CAPEX, workforce).

Build Models, Stories, Applications, Data Actions, Advanced Formulas, Multi-Actions, Value Driver Trees, and Calendar workflows; implement currency translation, versions, and security.

Implement both Live and Import connections, and define robust refresh/scheduling strategies from Datasphere/S4/ECC.

Solution leadership & quality

Lead technical design reviews, estimations, transports (CTS+/gCTS), CI/CD practices, and production readiness (monitoring, logging, alerting).

Partner with functional, data, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable designs; produce design docs, mappings, test scripts, and operations runbooks.

Ensure compliance with coding standards, ATC checks, and simplification item remediation for S/4.

Required Qualifications & Experience

10+ years of total SAP experience with 7+ years in ABAP on HANA; proven SME capability (design authority/lead).

35+ years hands-on with SAP Analytics Cloud (planning & analytics) and SAP Datasphere (or SAP BW/4HANA to Datasphere transition plus strong Datasphere projects).

Solid delivery across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA (greenfield and/or brownfield), including custom code remediation and performance tuning on HANA.

Retail domain depth: article/site master, pricing/promotions, assortments/listings, replenishment & inventory, POS integration, loyalty/CRM, sell-through and margin analytics.

Strong interface background: IDoc, BAPI, RFC, OData, CPI/PI-PO, file-based ingestion patterns to Datasphere.

Tooling: ADT (Eclipse), BAS, Fiori/UI5 basics, GIT/gCTS, ATC/SCI, JMeter/Postman (API tests) and query analyzers.

Nice to have (plus points)

Experience with SAC predictive/augmented analytics, planning best practices (allocation, spreading, driver hierarchies).

Exposure to BW/4HANA, Open ODS Views, and migration of BW models into Datasphere Analytic Models.

Knowledge of BOPF/RAP behaviors, event handling, and CDS-based authorizations; Fiori Elements app configuration.

Understanding of CAR (OAA/OPP), Retail Pricing, Markdown Optimization, and ATP mechanics.

Certification(s): SAP ABAP on HANA, S/4HANA Development, SAC, Datasphere.
