We are hiring a Backend Developer to build the systems that power My Performance Doctor’s digital ecosystem. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance services and APIs that connect our applications, data, and users — ensuring every digital experience runs seamlessly behind the scenes.

⚙ Build the backbone

Design, build, and operate backend services that power My Performance Doctor’s applications. Develop secure APIs, data pipelines, and microservices that scale reliably and perform under pressure.

🔗 Connect and secure data

Integrate with front-end apps and external systems through well-documented REST APIs. Maintain data integrity and privacy across the entire ecosystem in line with APPs and GDPR.

🚀 Automate and deploy

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines that build, test, scan, and deploy automatically. Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable, auditable environments.

🧠 Debug, monitor, and scale

Troubleshoot production incidents quickly, conduct root-cause analyses, and refine for reliability. Implement logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure smooth, visible operations.

🧩 Collaborate and document

Work closely with front-end developers, data engineers, and product owners to plan and deliver increments. Keep architecture notes, runbooks, and API specs up to date and discoverable.

✅ Experienced: 5+ years building production-grade backends in Python or Java, delivering secure, high-availability systems.

✅ Cloud-native: Skilled with AWS (Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Glue/Athena) or equivalent platforms.

✅ Disciplined: You write clean, tested, well-documented code and follow strong Git practices.

✅ Reliable: You understand observability — structured logging, metrics, and tracing are second nature.

✅ Collaborative: You work seamlessly with front-end, analytics, and operations teams.

✅ Security-minded: You build with encryption, least privilege, and auditability as defaults.

• Experience with IaC tools (AWS CDK or CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with queues, streams, and event-driven design (SQS, SNS, Kinesis).
• Performance tuning experience (profiling, async/concurrency).
• Knowledge of analytics data modelling (Glue Catalog, Parquet).
• Exposure to AI or Agent SDK integrations.
