Mid-Level C++ Developer (Exchange Connectivity)

Role Description

This is a full-time, fully remote position for a mid-level C++ Developer. While we welcome applicants from anywhere in Romania, we have a slight preference for candidates based in or near Timișoara, Cluj, Arad, or Oradea. In this role, you’ll be involved in designing, implementing, testing, and improving high-performance software components. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to help build efficient, scalable back-end systems and ensure smooth integration across our platform. Solid object-oriented programming skills are important, as you’ll be writing reliable, maintainable code and contributing to technical discussions. You’ll be part of a team of around four developers and two QA engineers, focused on developing and maintaining our exchange connectivity software. We’re looking for someone who writes efficient, well-structured code and is committed to continual improvement in how we build, test, and deploy our systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a software development or similar essential
• Experienced in C/C++ development (Typically a minimum of 3 years)
• Understanding the current communication protocols (specifically TCP/IP and multicast)
• Experience of development on Windows platforms
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience in working with version control systems such as Git

What you will do:

• Contribute to the development of data feed components for high-volume, low-latency exchange connections.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing core libraries used across the team.
• Support the development and improvement of underlying transport protocols for efficient data transmission.
• Collaborate with DevOps to help refine automation and improve the overall development workflow.

• Knowledge of automated testing and deployment techniques used in a CI/CD environment
