Implementation Engineer - AI, Computer Vision, and Video Analytics

APS Resources is seeking an Implementation Engineer on behalf of our client, a global provider of advanced computer vision, AI, and high-performance video analytics technologies. Their solutions support mission-critical deployments across government, public safety, and enterprise sectors, with large-scale projects active throughout Southeast Asia.

As the company continues to expand its presence in the region, this role is essential for supporting on-premise and cloud-based deployments across Southeast Asia, working closely with customers, system integrators, and international engineering teams. This is a highly technical and client-facing role suited for an engineer with strong networking expertise, experience with mixed hardware environments, and the ability to manage complex installations independently.

Location: Vietnam (Remote - SEA timezone)

Reports to: Project Director + Head of Engineering

Main responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and support on-premise and cloud-based solutions across customer environments in Southeast Asia.
• Provide hands-on technical implementation for AI, computer vision, and video analytics systems, including software installation, integration, and performance tuning.
• Work directly with customers and system integrators to troubleshoot issues, optimize configurations, and ensure smooth end-to-end deployments.
• Support multiple hardware ecosystems; both global and local brands.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents impacting solution performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate complex technical cases, share logs, and enable rapid resolution.
• Configure and support VPNs (OpenVPN, DMVPN, Site-to-Site) and ensure secure connectivity across distributed environments.
• Assist with firewall configuration, routing policies, and multi-vendor network equipment tuning.
• Maintain detailed implementation documentation, system diagrams, and configuration logs.
• Coordinate with telecom operators and local partners to support communication channels and infrastructure-related tasks.
• Contribute to improving deployment processes, reliability standards, and customer support procedures.
• Provide occasional on-call support depending on project demands.

Requirements:

• CCNP-level knowledge of enterprise networking (mandatory).
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments.
• Proven experience with VPN architectures (OpenVPN, DMVPN, Site-to-Site).
• Experience with firewalls, routing, and multi-vendor network devices.
• Solid understanding of high-availability 24/7 systems, redundancy models, and failover strategies.
• Experience with Mikrotik, and familiarity with Huawei or other regional vendors is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of routing protocols, especially OSPF, and experience maintaining routed network environments.
• Strong understanding of core enterprise network concepts: VLAN, ACL, 802.1X, NAT, RADIUS, LDAP.
• Experience implementing and supporting Wi-Fi infrastructures.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems, log management, and automated backup tools.
• Ability to write clean, clear technical documentation.
• Mikrotik MTCRE certification preferred.
• Experience maintaining telephony systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, customer communication, and adaptability in mixed technology environments.
