Senior Camunda Developer - Workflow Automation Modernization

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Camunda Developer with strong architectural and design skills to lead a major workflow automation modernization initiative. The project involves migrating from a legacy BPM platform to Camunda, building scalable, event-driven workflow solutions, and integrating them across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration from legacy BPM tools to Camunda, ensuring robust process transformation.
• Design, develop, and implement BPMN, DMN, and CMMN models using Camunda.
• Architect and optimize workflow orchestration and microservices-based integrations with Java/Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, and business teams to deliver scalable process automation.
• Build reusable components, connectors, and templates to accelerate workflow deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and performance optimizations.
• Support production deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in Java / Spring Boot development.
• 3+ years of hands-on Camunda BPM experience (engine configuration, modeling, REST APIs).
• Expertise in workflow orchestration and event-driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of BPMN 2.0, DMN, and process automation best practices.
• Exposure to legacy-to-Camunda migration or similar modernization projects.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud deployments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Camunda 8 (Zeebe).
