Joule Group are well established in the KSA market from our 5+ years working in the Kingdom and 8+ years in the wider GCC. We are now looking to expand our team on the ground in KSA and looking for a highly qualified Senior Fire Engineer who will support project delivery and work winning efforts in the Kingdom.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering fire safety projects while supporting the Middle East Director in business development, work-winning, and commercial management efforts. Your primary focus will be on the day-to-day management and successful delivery of projects, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction.

You’ll collaborate with world-class clients on some of the most iconic and challenging projects in the Kingdom.

Role Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of fire safety design and consultancy projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Develop fire strategies, conduct code reviews, and design performance-based solutions tailored to client and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation, ensuring seamless coordination among team members and stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project delivery, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
• Ensure all work aligns with KSA fire safety codes, standards, applicable international fire codes and standards and Joule Group’s quality assurance processes.

Business Development & Work-Winning

• Support the Middle East Director in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Saudi market.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, fee estimates, and bid submissions to secure new projects.
• Assist in obtaining relevant local licenses for the KSA business (e.g. Salama and HCIS Registration)
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams to support business growth.
• Represent Joule Group in client meetings and at industry events, contributing to the company’s reputation and visibility.

Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability and efficient use of resources.
• Contribute to the preparation of forecasts and reporting to support regional financial planning.
• Identify and manage project risks, ensuring proactive resolution of issues to maintain client satisfaction and project success.

Technical Excellence & Team Collaboration

• Lead the development of technical solutions, providing expertise in fire safety engineering to ensure innovative and compliant designs.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and internationally to share knowledge, best practices and promote cross-office collaboration and delivery.
• Mentor junior team members, offering guidance to support their professional growth and technical capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical planning skills.
• Excellent communicator (verbal, written and electronical).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the fire engineering field within the consultancy environment with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
• Strong experience with KSA fire safety codes, standards and applicable international fire codes, standards and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and support commercial decision-making.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach to work.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficient with BIM, AutoCAD & Bluebeam.
• Member of a Professional Engineering Body (Preferably registered with the Saudi Engineering Council).
• Experience working as part of a wider team.
• Chartership or working towards a Professional Accreditation.
