Senior Performance Tester

We're looking out candidates for the role of Performance Tester position with our client in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position requires relocation to malaysia, work from office and contractual position(Initially for 1 year & extendable). Budget for this position - Max upto RM10,000 per month

Job Description

• Participate in planning, design & identify performance acceptance criteria
• Work closely with business users & application team to gather business process flow, application logic & test data requirements
• Implement best practices of performance testing in the team
• Develop virtual user scripts
• Coordinate and set up test data for proper execution
• Work closely with business users/application team to validate test data
• Set up monitoring tools to monitor KPIs
• Set up performance test scenarios
• Execute performance test as per test plan
• Monitor and analyze execution results/graphs for response time, throughput, errors etc
• Produce performance test report after execution & participate in the analysis of test results
• Conduct root cause analysis of performance defects and ensure proper resolution

Functional Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Performance tester preferably in relation to relevant banking domains servicing global banking/global wholesale stakeholders.
• Proven record as experienced performance test engineer
• Familiar with various test tools and have sufficient experience/exposure in performance testing using industry wide tools such as LRE, Jmeter, Controller etc.
• Ability in handling scripting where encryption/description presence
• Ability to manage the load for concurrent projects requiring performance testing
• Ability to strategize the testing, provide action plan/mitigation when needed and prepare the required analysis & reporting.
• Ability to analyse the report produced by monitoring tool in relation to performance test to ascertain hardware/software utilization
• Ability to communicate with various level of stakeholders – vertical & horizontally.
• Understanding of all phases of an application development life cycle; i.e. System.
• Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or AGILE methodology framework and documentation.
• Good problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, and extensive experience presenting to IT managers.
• Able to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
