Job Title: SailPoint Identity Cloud Engineer
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract or Contract-to-Hire
Department: IT Security / Identity & Access Management
Reports To: IAM Manager or Director of Information Security
Position Overview
The SailPoint Identity Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow) solutions within a large-scale, global enterprise environment. This role will focus on integrating SailPoint with Azure Active Directory, Okta, and other critical business applications to deliver secure, automated identity lifecycle management and governance.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on SailPoint experience, a strong understanding of cloud-based identity integrations, and proven success supporting complex, multinational organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow) solutions to support enterprise-wide identity governance and administration (IGA).
- Integrate SailPoint with Azure AD, Okta, and global business systems to automate provisioning, access requests, certifications, and compliance processes.
- Develop and configure connectors, provisioning rules, workflows, and policies for both cloud and on-prem applications.
- Automate user lifecycle management (Joiner, Mover, Leaver) across diverse global environments with varied compliance and regulatory needs.
- Collaborate across regions with IAM, Security, and Infrastructure teams to standardize identity governance processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using REST APIs, PowerShell, or Java to support custom integrations and workflows.
- Implement and monitor access certifications and SoD (Segregation of Duties) controls across global user populations.
- Ensure high system reliability and compliance with international standards, including GDPR and ISO 27001.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, integration guides, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging IAM technologies and best practices for securing identities in global, hybrid cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Identity Governance (IGA) roles.
- Proven, hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNow / Identity Security Cloud, including configuration, workflow design, and connector customization.
- Strong integration experience with:
- Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user lifecycle, group management, and conditional access.
- Okta for SSO, MFA, and identity federation.
- Experience working in a global or multi-region enterprise environment with distributed identity systems.
- Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, PowerShell, JSON, or Java for integration and automation.
- Deep understanding of RBAC, ABAC, SAML, OAuth, SCIM, and modern identity protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid identity management models.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in enterprise-scale deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- SailPoint Certified IdentityNow Engineer or equivalent SailPoint certification.
- Experience integrating Workday, ServiceNow, or Active Directory/LDAP directories.
- Background in regulated or global industries (finance, healthcare, energy, manufacturing) with exposure to SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with other IAM platforms such as CyberArk, Ping, or ForgeRock.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate business and compliance requirements into secure, scalable IAM solutions.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to working independently in a fully remote global organization.
