Engineer I - AI/ML

The candidate for this exciting opportunity will need to be living in the San Antonio, Texas area. This role will require 3 to 4 days per week at the One Frost Corporate Campus office. Frost will help with relocation costs to move to San Antonio, Texas if one is not currently living in San Antonio, Texas.

What You’ll Do

• Build and support basic AI/ML components and participate in integration of AI models (including LLMs) into enterprise applications
• Learn and apply best practices in prompt engineering to design effective inputs for intelligent systems
• Participate in designing workflows that combine human, system, and AI workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the orchestration of services, APIs, and model endpoints
• Contribute to codebases where automation and explainability are prioritized

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• experience with Python, REST APIs, ML libraries and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn)
• Familiarity with Docker, and Linux environments
• Familiarity with modern AI concepts such as prompt chaining, embeddings, or agent frameworks
• Foundational understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Additional Preferred Skills

• Exposure to tools like LangChain, MLflow, or vector databases
• Academic or internship projects involving LLMs or intelligent automation
• Basic CI/CD experience
• Cloud exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or basic data pipeline work
