Senior Mobile App Developer (iOS and Android)

We're looking for a Mobile App Developer to build our iOS and Android apps from scratch. You'll be our first mobile hire, which means you'll own the entire mobile product—architecture, features, user experience, and app store presence.

You'll develop the complete FindVil mobile experience:

Core Features:

• User authentication and onboarding (resume import, profile creation)
• Job search functionality (create searches, set criteria, view matches)
• Resume generation (AI-tailored resumes for each job, ATS-optimized)
• Push notifications (instant alerts when matching jobs are posted)
• In-app payments (Stripe integration for credits/subscriptions)
• Public profile pages (mobile-optimized talent directory)
• Advanced filtering and job alerts
• Performance optimization for scale
• Deep linking and sharing capabilities
• Referral system (invite friends, earn credits and more - ongoing in our web based platform)

You'll work directly with the founder, integrate with existing backend APIs, and ship features that users request. Fast iterations, real impact.

Mobile Development (80% of time):

• Build and maintain iOS and Android apps (React Native or Flutter)
• Integrate with FindVil's REST APIs (Flask/Python backend, Dockerized)
• Implement smooth, intuitive UI/UX that users love
• Handle push notifications, background jobs, and offline functionality
• Optimize performance (fast load times, smooth animations)
• Test on real devices and fix bugs quickly
• Manage app store submissions and updates (TestFlight, Google Play)

Product & Strategy (20% of time):

• Collaborate with founder on feature prioritization
• Make architectural decisions for scalability
• Contribute ideas for mobile-first growth strategies
• Help shape the mobile roadmap based on user needs

Must-Haves:

• Portfolio demonstrating mobile apps you've built (REQUIRED - App Store/Google Play links or code samples)
• 2+ years of mobile app development experience (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)
• Strong proficiency in React Native OR Flutter (we're flexible on framework)
• Experience with REST API integration and state management
• Published apps in App Store or Google Play (show us what you've shipped)
• Clean code practices (readable, maintainable, well-structured)

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):

• Experience with both React Native AND Flutter
• Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) knowledge
• Firebase experience (push notifications, analytics, crash reporting)
• Payment integration (Stripe, in-app purchases)
• CI/CD pipelines (Git / GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of App Store Optimization (ASO)
• Startup experience (comfortable with fast pace and changing priorities)

Salary:

• Full-Time: We're open to discussing what works for both sides based on your experience and our stage. Please share your expectations in your application.
• Part-Time (20-30 hrs/week): Hourly rate negotiable based on experience

Equity:

• Full-Time: 0.5% - 2.0% equity (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff)
• Part-Time: 0.25% - 1.0% equity

What this means: FindVil serves a $10B+ job search market. If we capture even a fraction and reach scale, early equity could be meaningful. No guarantees—startups are risky—but real upside potential if we succeed.
