The Workplace Design Director role requires a seasoned professional with a track record of leading design initiatives in Workplace environments. The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated expertise in formulating and evolving design concepts, as well as orchestrating and supervising design teams for interior architectural projects. Notably, candidates need not have specific China experience, and a competitive salary package with relocation costs will be offered.
Key Responsibilities
Spearheading design initiatives across all stages of Workplace interior projects, including providing guidance, advice, and mentorship to other designers, shaping design strategies, and leading design evaluations and forums.
Serving as the primary design liaison with clients, and actively participating in the selection of interior finishes, furniture, and equipment.
Creating space plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and comprehensive design presentation documentation.
Offering innovative solutions to design challenges and generating alternative design concepts.
Reviewing drawings, mock-ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors to ensure the delivery of the highest quality professional service.
Qualifications
Over 7 years of experience in Workplace interior project design.
Possession of a degree in interior design from an accredited program.
Proficient knowledge of relevant building codes and ADA code compliance regulations.
Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in all facets of interior design.
Ideally skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, 3D Studio, SketchUp, and freehand sketching.
Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Chinese is advantageous.
