Role Overview

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Researcher focused on AI to join our cybersecurity research organisation. The role will drive innovation in threat detection, anomaly detection, research of large language models (LLMs), agentic AI solutions, and assist in translating those into operational cyber capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (security operations, data science, engineering) to research, prototype, and deploy cutting-edge solutions that support our cyber defence posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research into emerging cyber threats and attack methods, especially in the context of AI/ML, LLMs, and agentic AI.
• Design, prototype and validate AI/ML solutions (including LLM-based, retrieval-augmented, vector/semantic search, AI agents) for cybersecurity use cases (e.g., threat hunting, anomaly detection, response automation).
• Explore vulnerabilities in AI/ML systems (prompt-injection, adversarial attacks, model drift, supply-chain risks) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Build proof-of-concepts, work with data engineers/scientists to deploy scalable solutions, productionize when applicable.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to integrate research outputs into workflows, toolchains, and security operations.
• Develop technical documentation, present research findings, engage with senior stakeholders to advocate deployment of new capabilities.
• Keep abreast of industry trends in AI/ML, generative models, cybersecurity, and map those into research roadmaps for the organization.
