General Summary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- 5+ years of experience in building relational Dimensional Data models using the Kimball methodology. Experience in building heirarchys.
- Knowledge of the Azure development platform. 4+ years of experience in Power BI reporting
- understanding of data pipelines in Azure that move data from a Data Lake architecture to Azure Synapse.
- 5 Years of experience with Power BI Datasets \ SSAS.
- Excellent ability to write Microsoft Sql Server T-SQL.
- Ability to design and implement Tabular models within Power BI Premium Data Sets.
- Ability to use SSIS for data extractions.
- Ability to implement DAX coding language into Power BI and Tabular models
- experience working with an Enterprise Data Warehouse and writing ETL.
- Knowledge of Data Bricks is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create meaningful documentation.
- Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple requests from multiple users.
- Ability to gather requirements and formulate an estimate for work.
