Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Engineer with strong expertise in FedRAMP compliance and Azure cloud security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and validating FedRAMP-required security controls within Azure environments and preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews. This position requires a proactive engineer capable of designing secure systems, ensuring compliance, and contributing to continuous monitoring and governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and maintain FedRAMP-required security controls within Azure environments.
• Develop, update, and contribute to FedRAMP documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and audit evidence.
• Utilize and manage tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Policy for compliance and monitoring.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation using tools such as Tenable Nessus and Trustwave SIEM.
• Manage and monitor identity and access controls through Azure Active Directory, SAP Identity Management, and Auth0.
• Implement and monitor security controls using solutions such as BitLocker, Snort, DMARC, IBM Proventia, Dmarcian, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet FedRAMP, NIST, and organizational security standards.
• Support continuous monitoring, incident response, and risk management activities across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Maintain documentation for security audits, governance reviews, and compliance verification.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role, preferably in FedRAMP-compliant environments.
• In-depth understanding of Azure’s FedRAMP offerings, including Azure Government and associated compliance documentation.
• Strong experience with Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Azure Policy, and Azure AD.
• Hands-on expertise with security tools: Tenable Nessus, Splunk, Trustwave, Snort, IBM Proventia, and BitLocker.
• Knowledge of data governance and code security tools such as OneTrust, SonarQube, and Veracode.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting FedRAMP audits and authorizations (ATO process).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CompTIA Security+.
• Knowledge of automation scripting (PowerShell, Python) for compliance monitoring and reporting.
