Here's what you'll be doing

• Ship Features for Real-World Impact: Develop and maintain Qoyod POS (Android, Kotlin, Jetpack) and Qoyod Mobile (React Native, TypeScript, Redux) powering invoicing, inventory tracking, and financial operations for businesses across the Gulf region.
• Solve Complex Technical Challenges: Build robust offline-first functionality, integrate with multiple printer SDKs (LAN/Bluetooth), and implement barcode scanning with cameras and external scanners.
• Own Your Work End-to-End: Take features from design through implementation, testing, and deployment, working closely with backend, frontend, and QA teammates in a collaborative squad setup.
• Enhance User Experience: Optimize performance and reliability for a system that needs to work seamlessly whether merchants are online or offline, in busy retail environments.
• Grow Your Craft: Participate in code reviews, learn from senior engineers, and contribute to architectural discussions that shape the future of our mobile platform.

Here's what you'll need

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-4 years of mobile development experience with proven ability to ship features across platforms.
• Solid Android development experience using Kotlin, including familiarity with Jetpack components and modern Android practices.
• Hands-on experience with React Native development using TypeScript and related frameworks/libraries (Expo, Redux, etc.).
• Solid understanding of offline-first architecture, local data persistence, and sync strategies.
• Familiarity with integrating third-party SDKs and hardware peripherals (printers, scanners) is a plus.
