About The Opportunity
We are hiring an on-site Software QA Engineer in Jaipur to own testing across web, API and mobile channels - contributing to test strategy, automation, and release readiness in an Agile/CI-CD environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, author and execute detailed test plans, test cases and checklists for features across web, API and mobile platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for regression and smoke testing to accelerate release cycles; work with frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest where applicable.
- Perform API testing and validate integrations using tools like Postman or RestAssured; validate data flows and error handling across services using REST/JSON/XML and HTTP semantics.
- Investigate, report and track defects in an issue tracker (for example, JIRA) with clear reproduction steps, impact analysis and test evidence; drive fixes through verification.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and DevOps teams in Agile sprints to ensure testability, implement quality gates and integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines (for example, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Contribute to quality-improvement initiatives such as test automation coverage metrics, release readiness checklists and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Must-Have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance for web, API and mobile applications.
- Strong manual testing fundamentals: test case design, exploratory testing, regression cycles and defect lifecycle management.
- Practical experience with test automation using Selenium WebDriver (Selenium 3/4) and writing maintainable test scripts in Java (Java 8+) or Python (3.x); familiarity with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit or PyTest.
- API testing experience using Postman and/or RestAssured; solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML and HTTP status codes.
- Database validation skills using SQL (for example, MySQL or PostgreSQL) for backend data verification and debugging.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and version control with Git.
- Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium and testing on Android/iOS devices or emulators.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using JIRA or similar test management/issue-tracking tools.
- Exposure to additional tools/areas such as Selenium Grid, Postman Collections, basic performance testing (JMeter), test reporting and monitoring test coverage metrics.
