Role Description
This is a remote unpaid post OPT full time role for an AI Engineer. You’ll help build and optimize our voice agent: improve semantic search over product catalogs, design conversation flows, and enhance end-to-end voice interactions (ASR → NLU → retrieval → TTS). Work includes data prep, prompt/retrieval design, vector DB integration, evaluation, and latency/quality tuning.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in NLP/ML and building LLM-powered apps (Python or Java/TypeScript).
- Experience with embeddings and vector search (e.g., Weaviate/Milvus/FAISS) and RAG pipelines.
- Familiarity with ASR/TTS (e.g., Whisper, Azure/ElevenLabs) and telephony (Twilio/WhatsApp).
- Strong SQL + schema skills; comfort joining vector results with product/ordering tables.
- Ability to analyze logs/datasets, run A/B tests, and improve precision/recall.
- Frameworks: TensorFlow/PyTorch; APIs: FastAPI/Node; Git/GitHub required.
- Plus: dialog systems, evaluation harnesses, and prompt engineering experience.
- Soft skills: problem-solving, ownership, clear communication, async remote work.
