What We Are Looking For
- You have a solid knowledge of business intelligence and data reporting/analytics
- You are curious and like learning and staying up to date on new tools and technology
- You are entrepreneurial and can work independently and collaboratively to help support and develop new customer-facing programs related to data services
- You have meaningful experience with Snowflake and at least one top tier visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Omni, etc.) in order to transform raw data into actionable intelligence for both our internal teams and our clinician customers.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with our external customers and internal customers (business teams/product) to understand requirements needed to craft BI solutions and other technical deliverables (e.g. operational and clinical reports, data feeds into data warehouses and data focused partner integrations)
- Work with internal stakeholders to help develop the Valant Practice Services program which is designed to support customers with Custom and Standard Reports.
- Develop, maintain, optimize and test reports and visualizations on our existing (power bi, SSRS, Omni) reporting platform
- Generate data for ad hoc queries for internal customers
- Debug and troubleshoot data quality problems
- Work with the development team to model data for optimal reporting and analytics
What You’ll Need
Required
- 2+ years of professional experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role.
- Mandatory Proficiency in Snowflake: Hands-on experience with data modeling, query writing, and performance tuning within the Snowflake cloud data platform.
- Mandatory Proficiency in in at least one top-tier data visualization tool other than power bi: Demonstrated expertise in developing complex dashboards, calculations, and data blending. Direct experience with the Omni platform is a strong plus. Power BI does not substitute for this requirement
- Dashboard & Report Development: Create, maintain, and enhance interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports for various stakeholders, including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- SQL Skills: proficient in writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Preferred
- Experience working directly with customers to derive requirements and deliver value
- ETL experience, SSIS preferred
- Experience with SSRS, Power BI
- Healthcare Experience (EHR Preferred)
