Job Description
Position: Engineering Tooling Sales Specialist - Punch/Press
Location: Farmington, CT (relocation assistance is provided)
Hours: 8:00-4:30 pm and 100% onsite
Required: Experienced in operating Press Brake and/or Punch machinery with strong knowledge of metal forming techniques and processes.
As an Engineering Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving sales success for our advanced punch and press brake tooling solutions. This is a full-time, onsite position offering hands-on involvement with industry-leading technology and the opportunity to directly support our customers and sales team with your technical expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Engineering Sales Specialist will be responsible for technical tool quotations and sales support for CNC tooling products.
- Work closely with tool design engineers, sales staff, and customers to provide pricing and lead times for special tooling products.
- Interfacing with customers via phone, email, and in person.
- Calculate required capacities to ensure tooling products meet customer and product specifications. Work within all areas of our tooling department as needed.
Experience
Requirements include strong technical/sales experience with a background in sheet metal fabrication. Conceptualizing punch & die designs for sheet metal punching, forming, and bending is required. Punch and press brake equipment operation, as well as knowledge of company software, is a plus. Read and review customer blueprints, CAD files, product specifications, and other documentation to prepare quotations. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Experience with SolidWorks, SAP, and MS Excel is preferred.
Education
Two years of technical experience is desired, and an AS degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. Consideration will also be given to direct industry-related job experience.
