Job Description
Company Description
LoopLess is the only screen time app backed by CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) research, built in collaboration with researchers affiliated with institutions such as Fermilab and authors of peer-reviewed studies. Our mission is to help people reduce screen addiction and reclaim their focus.
We’re a fast-moving, product-obsessed team of engineers, designers, and researchers focused on one thing: making it easier (and actually satisfying) to break addictive screen habits. That means we ship quickly, test rigorously, and listen obsessively to our users.
LoopLess is a fully remote team with contributors across the U.S. and internationally. We value autonomy, accountability, and initiative. If you’re here, it’s because what you build matters: your work can go live in the LoopLess app and directly shape how thousands of people focus, think, and live.
Role Description
This is a remote, part-time iOS Swift Developer Intern position, working directly on the production LoopLess app. You’ll contribute to features, improvements, and experiments that ship to real users.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing new features in Swift/SwiftUI for the LoopLess iOS app
- Debugging issues and optimizing performance across real-world devices
- Collaborating with product, design, and research teams to build CBT-informed experiences
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to clean, maintainable architecture
- Writing efficient, high-quality code that can be deployed to the live app
Top-performing interns will see their contributions shipped to the App Store and used by a growing global user base.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in iOS development (Swift / SwiftUI preferred)
- Understanding of mobile application development and iOS systems
- Familiarity with software development best practices
- Experience with version control (Git) is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and hit goals reliably
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrable experience)
- Startup experience
What You Get
- Full access to LoopLess and internal tools, plus complimentary gifting for friends & family
- Direct mentorship from the core product & engineering team
- Real ownership: the opportunity for your work to ship to production and impact users
- Potential for future paid roles; equity or additional compensation may be considered based on performance and company needs
