About the Role
As a Technical Support Specialist, you ensure the software team remains focused. From installing software on client devices to coordinating deployments and resolving technical issues.
You will act as the first line of support for internal teams, set up hardware and software environments, investigate incident reports, and support seamless software releases. You’ll work closely with the software team, shielding them from distractions, and with the customer success team, ensuring technical support.
This role is hands-on, dynamic, and critical to mission success: ideal for someone who loves solving problems, learning new technology, and supporting real-world aviation deployments.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll work on installing and configuring Ubuntu OS and proprietary software on client devices. You’ll troubleshoot issues, investigate bug reports, document findings, configure network settings, and support secure deployments across environments. You’re responsible for managing incoming support tickets, escalating complex issues to engineering, and serving as the first-point technical contact for internal teams. You’ll also:
- Help coordinate software delivery, deployment;
- Gather feedback from clients and internal teams to support product improvements;
- Perform basic QA testing on releases and deployment procedures;
- Act as the technical liaison between engineering, product, and customers;
- Support customer success and commercial teams in deploying and configuring complex systems;
- Provide internal training, handle technical support, and communicate customer issues; Educating the Avy team (specifically Sales & BD) on our product capabilities and limitations;
- Help reduce ad-hoc distractions for the software team;
- Provide a feasibility check on PoCs, Demos, and other operation requests from a technical perspective.

Requirements
To be successful in this role requires strong motivation to solve technical problems and support users. You bring at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
You excel at clear communication: able to explain technical topics simply. You’re comfortable with Linux/Ubuntu systems and command line and have a basic understanding of networking (VPNs, IPs, routing). You have experience with support/ticketing tools, like to work structured and detail-oriented, and have a strong documentation mindset. You have the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
