About The Opportunity
We operate in the Information Technology & Software Services sector, building cloud-native, enterprise-grade web applications and APIs that power digital transformation for global clients. This is a fully remote role based in India focused on delivering scalable backend services and integrating systems across cloud platforms.
Position: Senior Java Developer (Remote - INDORE BASED, India)
Globelance is hiring a hands-on Java engineer to design, implement, and maintain backend services in a microservices architecture. You will work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams to ship high-quality, resilient code and help shape engineering practices.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot for cloud-native applications.
- Build and maintain microservices, ensuring performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs; integrate with databases and third-party services.
- Collaborate in Agile teams: participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and pair programming.
- Write unit and integration tests, and follow CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and deployments.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues; contribute to observability, monitoring, and incident runbooks.
Must-Have
- Proven experience building Java-based services using Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of microservices patterns and REST API design.
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and relational databases (SQL).
- Proficiency with build and source-control tools: Maven and Git.
- Familiarity with automated testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD workflows.
- Practical experience troubleshooting production issues and performance tuning.
- Experience with containerization or orchestration: Docker or Kubernetes.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native services.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or caching layers (Redis).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven track record of delivering production-quality Java applications; experience in a remote, distributed team is a plus.
