Remote QA Engineer - E-commerce Platform

About the Company

We are a fully remote team split between the United States, Japan, Poland, Lithuania, and the Philippines, founded and led by Billy Buckles (an American serial entrepreneur now based out of Japan who has built sites, apps, and ad campaigns that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue), backed by an experienced team of proven senior professionals, including co-founders Dawid Sobanski (Poland-based engineer), Mateusz Bielak (Poland-based engineer), and Tina Bialba (Lithuania-based product manager).

We have built several successful apps in the past, with a focus on providing tools to help eCommerce companies grow. Our apps have helped over 10,000 clients generate over $20 billion in revenue.

We are now working on our newest stealth project, with a working name of LinkSyncSell. It’s a novel idea that we hope will define a new niche in eCommerce. We have been building the software for the last 12 months, and it is approaching its launch date. We have invested significant time and money into the project and think it is the highest potential software we’ve ever worked on.

We are seeking to hire a full-time remote QA Engineer (Contract position) to help us find and rectify bugs and support the engineer and customer support teams to smooth out the user experience as we approach our launch date and eventually go live with clients.

About the Role

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our multi-tenant e-commerce platform. You’ll work with a Laravel backend and Vue.js frontend application that integrates with multiple platforms (Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, Faire, and more).

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Planning and executing comprehensive test strategies for both manual and automated testing
• Performing manual exploratory testing by clicking through features, user flows, and integration points
• Designing and implementing automated browser tests using tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium to test the Vue.js frontend and end-to-end user workflows
• Designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests for backend API endpoints and business logic using your preferred tools (e.g. Postman, Insomnia, REST Assured, or similar)
• Testing across our multi-tenant architecture with sharded databases
• Verifying functionality across multiple third-party integrations (Shopify, Etsy, Amazon etc.)
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs through their lifecycle
• Collaborating with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes
• Gradually transitioning manual test cases into automated test suites
• Test and validate hybrid and mobile applications, including WebView components, to ensure seamless performance across mobile-accessible platform views

What Our Ideal Candidate Looks Like

• 3–5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with both manual and automated testing
• Strong experience with browser automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing automated tests
• Experience testing modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular)
• Solid understanding of backend and REST API testing using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, REST Assured, or similar
• Comfortable working with RESTful APIs and testing API endpoints
• Experience with Docker and ability to set up and work within containerized development environments
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to create comprehensive test plans and test cases from product requirements
• Experience with multi-tenant applications or SaaS platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with Laravel framework is a plus
• Experience testing e-commerce platforms or marketplace integrations (Shopify, Etsy, etc.) is a plus
• Experience testing mobile or hybrid WebView-based applications is a plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution is a plus
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive quality improvements
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for bug reports and collaboration with developers
• A quality-focused mindset with passion for breaking things to make them better
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs
