Junior PHP Developer (Backend & 24x7 Technical Support)

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Junior PHP Developer who will play a dual role — assisting in backend development and providing 24×7 technical support ,and this role primarily focuses on PHP-based applications, with opportunities to contribute to Python (FastAPI) projects as part of our modernization efforts. This position is ideal for early-career developers who are passionate about backend technologies and want to strengthen their development and system support experience.

This is a remote role; however, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to Mumbai once every two months.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24×7 support coverage for production systems and backend applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve PHP-related issues in live environments.
• Collaborate with the development team to implement small-scale feature updates and bug fixes.
• Monitor application performance, logs, and database health.
• Assist in writing automation scripts and tools using Python for monitoring and support tasks.
• Work within SLA timelines to ensure minimal downtime and prompt issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate support documentation and escalation workflows.
• Should be willing to travel to Mumbai for approximately one week every two months.

Must-Have Skills

• Willingness to work in a 24×7 rotational support environment based on urgent prod issues.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and web technologies.
• Basic understanding of backend debugging and application monitoring.
• Familiarity with Linux commands, cron jobs, and web servers (Apache/Nginx).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend integrations.
• Eagerness to learn Python and work with FastAPI in upcoming projects.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in a support or development environment (freshers with strong PHP knowledge may apply).
