Summary
Entegee Engineering is actively seeking an Environmental Test Lead in Mojave, CA. This position requires candidates to be onsite. Relocation assistance may be offered on a case-by-case basis. This role will lead the environmental test team responsible for supporting component and system-level testing for advanced aerospace vehicle programs. The position focuses on managing test planning, execution, and analysis across thermal, vibration, and environmental qualification efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee environmental testing for mechanical, electrical, and avionics components
- Develop and review environmental test plans, procedures, and reports
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and technicians within the test group
- Coordinate and schedule testing activities with internal engineering and external customers
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards including DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461
- Support root cause and corrective action investigations related to component or system failures
- Oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of environmental test equipment including vibration tables and thermal chambers
- Contribute to the development and improvement of automated test systems and data acquisition processes
- Manage facility operations, including test equipment readiness, infrastructure planning, and resource allocation
- Prepare documentation to support validation, qualification, and flight readiness reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering required
- 8+ years of experience in environmental or qualification testing within aerospace, defense, or related industries
- Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, or similar environmental test standards
- Hands-on experience with thermal, vibration, and shock testing
- Proficiency with LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for data acquisition or test automation
- Experience leading technical teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary test programs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance required
