Senior Full Stack Engineer (Azure/Next.js/Serverless)

Full Stack Engineer Role (Azure/Next.js/Serverless) – Tech Start-Up - UK based – Remote

We’re looking for a full stack engineer (Azure) who can bring a blend of creativity and technical expertise to our team. You'll be instrumental in shaping our software architecture, particularly focusing on cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities:

-> Manage the Next.js front-end for embedded analytics (duckdb, ag-grid) and document extraction workflows, delivering an excellent user experience

-> Ship scalable serverless APIs to serve the front-end

-> Collaborate with Senior DevOps on deployments, observability, and platform performance.

-> Write clear documentation and perform testing, as well as participate in design reviews and incident retros

Requirements:

We’d expect you to have:

-> 2+ years’ experience with Azure cloud services or similar, particularly serverless architecture.

-> Solid experience as a Full Stack Engineer within a tech environment, preferably in a start-up setting. It will be an added bonus if you have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

-> Strong TypeScript + React/Nextjs (SSR/ISR, routing, forms, perf profiling).

-> Serverless APIs experience on Azure (Functions, Container Apps Jobs); event-driven patterns; async workers/queues.

-> Python fluency for data/service tasks (FastAPI/Functions, Polars/Pandas, CLI utilities, unit tests)

-> Postgres fluency (SQL, indexing, EXPLAIN, migrations, views); comfortable with JSONB.

-> Building performant REST APIs (pagination, filtering, caching, rate limits).

-> CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Vercel (preview environments, env/secrets, release hygiene).

As a full stack engineer in our team, you should be a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for building robust, scalable solutions. You’ll thrive on working collaboratively but are also capable of taking the initiative and leading projects. Your communication skills will be essential for working effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

As part of a small, close-knit team, you’ll need to really take ownership of the role.
