Your future contribution:

We’re forming a new team: Partner Integrations

This team’s mission is to assist in generating fast feedback on potential features delivered to Smoobu users via third-party partnerships with companies such as PriceLabs and Nukey. Once an experience has been validated, the learnings will be passed off to larger Product Engineering teams for production-grade development and integration into our Marketplace.

The team will also be tasked with short-cycle improvements of existing Partner Channel integrations with our partners like HomeToGo, AirBnB, and Booking.com. This means extending our interfaces owned by the Import/Export team, collaborating with those colleagues to define an acceptable approach which meets technical standards.

The challenge for the Lead Full Stack Engineer in this team is:


  • Work closely with your Product Manager and the Head of Partnerships to identify high-potential opportunities to explore
  • Create plans for exploration of the topic space, focusing on the Minimum Testable Product in a MoSCoW manner
  • Guide and support an Individual Contributor within the team to maximize their potential through structured professional development planning
  • Contribute directly to the technical outcomes with your Developer experience, role modeling good practice


How you’ll add value:


  • Uphold standards of practice in the Product Engineering workflow
  • Plan the quarterly technical roadmap together with the stakeholders and take responsibility for the team’s ability to deliver
  • Be the bar-raiser factor of the team by bringing together technical knowledge, best practices, and critical thinking
  • Ensure that the results of your experimentations and investigations are packaged neatly which makes it easy for other teams to pick up


You’ll be successful in this role if you:


  • Have solid experimentation experience in a product-based environment
  • Are an expert in PHP Back End Engineering
  • Have hands-on experience in current Web UI development practices (React and TypeScript)
  • Are competent in managing requests from multiple business stakeholders
  • Have worked in an environment where finding “product market fit” was paramount
  • Are interested in pursuing a career in Engineering Leadership, even though you may not yet have any formal responsibilities for managing others
  • Are fluent in English
