About Complexity
Complexity is building the world’s first commerce network — a new kind of social platform where companies across the globe connect, collaborate, and create.
Our mission is to build the connected infrastructure of commerce — an open network where relationships, opportunities, and ideas move with clarity and precision, empowering every company to create and collaborate without barriers.
🧭 About the Role
We’re looking for an exceptional Software Engineer (iOS) to join our engineering team. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing reusable Swift/Objective-C components and native modules, delivering advanced capabilities, top-tier performance, and pixel-perfect UI/UX.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with the founding team to architect and optimize the native systems that power Complexity.
Our team is lean, relentless, and deeply focused on execution. We value clarity of thought, initiative, and ownership. This is an environment for those who seek challenge and move with intent. All engineers are expected to have strong communication skills and be hands-on.
🧩 Responsibilities
- Architect and build native UI components (SwiftUI/UIKit) and modules — e.g., complex animations, camera and AV pipelines, background services, or low-latency rendering.
- Create and maintain React Native bridges (TurboModules/Fabric) with clean, stable APIs for JavaScript teams.
- Own performance-critical paths: measure, profile, and optimize startup time, memory usage, FPS, scrolling, and IO on iOS.
- Integrate third-party SDKs (payments, media, ML, sensors) safely and efficiently.
- Establish native best practices: code standards, templates, documentation, and usage examples for RN developers.
- Collaborate closely with React Native engineers, designers, and product to define component contracts and ensure a world-class user experience.
- Automate delivery pipelines with Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or Bitrise, managing code signing, TestFlight distribution, and release notes.
- Monitor app health with Crashlytics, Sentry, Xcode Instruments, and Flipper, driving reliability and continuous improvement.
You should have:
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience (Swift and/or Objective-C) with apps shipped to the App Store.
- Deep expertise in UIKit and/or SwiftUI, Auto Layout, rendering pipelines, concurrency (GCD/async-await), background tasks, deep linking, and notifications.
- Proven experience building React Native native modules or bridges (TurboModules/Fabric) and integrating them into RN apps.
- Exceptional skills in performance profiling and optimization using Instruments, os_signpost, and MetricKit.
- Comfort with modular architectures, frameworks, and dependency managers (CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager).
- Understanding of mobile security and privacy (keychain, secure storage, encryption, privacy-sensitive APIs).
- Solid testing discipline: XCTest, XCUITest, snapshot testing, mocking frameworks.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.
Bonus point for:
- Track record building large-scale or performance-critical mobile apps.
- B1-level English proficiency or higher.
